The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for the following duties:
- Annual Audit Planning: Assist the Head of Operational Audit in the annual planning of the operational audit plan.
- Engagement Planning: Prepare the Audit Engagement Plan and Sampling Matrix for each audit assignment, gather relevant reports using OBIEE, and share the engagement plan and sampling matrix with the team manager a day before the audit of a branch or office begins.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources according to the risk profile of the auditable entity and oversee the overall performance of the engagement so that work is completed within budgetary limits and approved people-days. Ensure optimal utilization of staffing and schedules.
- Quality Control: Check the pre-release quality of Audit Reports, Rating Models, Management Letters, and working paper files. Ensure that all required audit findings are included, approve the reports along with the Team Manager for issuance, calculate the audit rating, and recommend it to the HOA for review.
- Policy Review: Review policies and procedures to check whether their controls are effective and aligned with the instructions and directions issued by the regulator and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Checklist Updates: Suggest changes, amendments, or updates to Audit Checklists and the Audit Manual following developments in controls, procedures, products, and policies.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly Reporting Packages for line management, and report significant issues found during internal audits to the HOA, along with updates on Management Action.
- Budget Management: Maintain the financial and manpower budget, and seek confirmation or approval of breaches as per the approved hierarchy.
